Venipak - Key Account Team Lead | Latvia

About us

Venipak is an international logistics company helping businesses deliver efficiently and grow across the Baltics and beyond. We work with a wide range of business clients and e-commerce partners, combining operational excellence with a strong focus on long-term relationships, innovation, and service quality.

We are looking for an experienced Account Management Team Lead to strengthen our existing client relationships, develop our account management team, and drive sustainable business growth.

About the role

Venipak Latvia is looking for an Account Management Team Lead to manage and develop a team of four Account Managers responsible for existing B2B clients, including key accounts and SMEs.

The team manages several thousand customer relationships, collectively generating over 90% of the company's revenue in Latvia.

In this role, you will focus on team leadership, commercial performance, and customer retention and growth. Your main responsibility will be to help Account Managers achieve their targets, identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, and strengthen long-term client partnerships.

You will take a hands-on, data-driven approach to managing performance, improving internal processes, and resolving challenges in close collaboration with other departments.

This is a leadership-focused position rather than a traditional individual contributor sales role, offering the opportunity to make a direct impact on one of the company's most important commercial functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of four Account Managers, ensuring strong performance and achievement of commercial targets.

  • Oversee team budgeting, set performance goals and KPIs, and monitor progress against monthly revenue plans.

  • Analyze sales data, customer portfolios, and performance metrics to identify growth opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.

  • Support Account Managers in identifying and executing upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing customer accounts.

  • Guide the team in managing strategic client relationships, handling complex negotiations, and addressing commercial challenges.

  • Participate in meetings with key clients, support major tenders, and contribute to maintaining long-term customer partnerships.

  • Improve account management processes, optimize workloads, and ensure the team remains focused on high-value commercial activities.

  • Coordinate with logistics, customer service, IT, and other departments to resolve recurring operational issues and improve client satisfaction.

  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive developments to identify opportunities for business improvement.

  • Report team performance, commercial results, and key insights to local and Baltic-level management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading and developing a B2B sales or account management team.

  • Strong background in B2B sales, account management, and growing existing customer relationships.

  • Previous experience in logistics, transportation, parcel delivery, or a related industry would be a strong advantage.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with sales KPIs, revenue forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.

  • Confidence using CRM systems and data analysis tools (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI, Excel, or similar).

  • Ability to identify commercial opportunities, translate data into actionable plans, and drive team performance.

  • Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented leadership style, with a strong sense of ownership.

  • Excellent communication, coaching, relationship-building, and organizational skills.

  • Good understanding of the Latvian B2B market and its commercial environment.

  • Fluency in Latvian and good command of English.

What we offer

  • Competitive base salary with an uncapped monthly performance bonus tied to team results.

  • Car allowance and a fuel card.

  • Health insurance after the probation period.

  • Hybrid working arrangement with an office in Mārupe, near Riga Airport. Greater office presence is expected during the initial onboarding period.

  • Opportunities for professional growth, leadership development, and training within an international logistics company.

  • A supportive and collaborative work environment, with regular company events and additional employee benefits.

  • The opportunity to lead a commercially significant team and directly influence business performance, customer satisfaction, and long-term growth.
