About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and commercially driven Business Development Manager to identify and develop new business opportunities with manufacturing companies across international markets.
You will focus on engaging potential clients based on identified business signals, such as plans to expand production capacity, modernise manufacturing facilities, relocate equipment or establish new production lines.
Your initial priority will be to establish contact with relevant decision-makers, understand their upcoming projects and generate qualified business meetings. As you develop your knowledge of the industry and the company's services, you will take greater ownership of the sales cycle, working alongside technical and project management teams to develop opportunities into signed contracts.
This is a consultative, relationship-driven sales role involving complex industrial projects, multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles. The position combines proactive business development with the opportunity to grow into a full-cycle sales role.
The role involves international travel to meet prospective clients and visit manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities
-
Proactively approach potential international clients based on identified business signals, market developments and investment plans.
-
Identify and engage key decision-makers within manufacturing companies, including operations, engineering, production and senior management.
-
Initiate conversations, qualify business opportunities and arrange meetings with prospective clients.
-
Understand clients' plans for production expansion, factory relocation, machinery installation and modernisation projects.
-
Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients throughout potentially long decision-making cycles.
-
Conduct initial discovery meetings to assess client needs, project timelines and commercial potential.
-
Coordinate and participate in client meetings and international site visits alongside technical and project management teams.
-
Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop tailored solutions, commercial proposals and project opportunities.
-
Support negotiations and contract discussions, gradually taking responsibility for closing new business.
-
Maintain an active pipeline of qualified opportunities, ensuring consistent follow-up and accurate CRM records.
-
Monitor market developments and identify potential projects before formal procurement or tender processes begin.
-
Contribute to the development and improvement of the company's international business development processes.
Requirements
-
Experience in B2B sales, business development or new client acquisition.
-
Proven ability to prospect, engage decision-makers and generate qualified business opportunities.
-
Strong communication, relationship-building and consultative selling skills.
-
Confidence initiating conversations with senior stakeholders and discussing complex business needs.
-
Ability to manage multiple opportunities and maintain consistent follow-up throughout longer sales cycles.
-
A proactive, independent and results-oriented approach to business development.
-
Excellent English skills, both written and spoken.
-
Willingness to travel internationally for client meetings and project visits.
-
Availability to work primarily from the Kaunas office.
Experience selling technical, industrial, engineering, construction or other project-based products or services would be a strong advantage.
An engineering background is not required, but curiosity about manufacturing processes, industrial equipment and technical projects is important.
What We Offer
-
Competitive base salary, depending on experience and competence.
-
Performance-based bonuses linked to qualified client meetings and successfully closed projects.
-
Full onboarding and technical training to develop your understanding of industrial projects and solutions.
-
The opportunity to develop from new business generation into full-cycle sales, managing complex, high-value international projects.
-
Direct cooperation with senior management, technical specialists and experienced Project Managers.
-
An opportunity to contribute to the company's international expansion and business development strategy.
-
Company events, monthly team breakfasts and free basketball training.
