AutoMobil LT - Business Development Project Manager | Scandinavian Transport Market

About the company

AutoMobil LT is a transport services company specializing in niche and complex transportation solutions, with a strong focus on Scandinavian routes.

Over the years, the company has built solid expertise in working with specialized vehicles, refrigerated cargo, challenging routes, and time-sensitive deliveries. Today, AutoMobil LT operates its own fleet, including specialized 3-axle trucks used for demanding Scandinavian routes and specific transport requirements.

The company is now entering its next stage of growth. Having developed strong operational know-how and experience in the Scandinavian market, AutoMobil LT is looking to build more direct relationships with clients, especially in Norway, and expand its presence in specialized transport segments.

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Project Manager who will help AutoMobil LT develop direct client relationships in the Scandinavian transport market, with a particular focus on Norway.

This is not a standard sales role. The person joining the company will have the opportunity to help shape a new commercial direction, identify opportunities, build relationships, and open doors in a highly specific and relationship-driven market where experience with refrigerated transport, fish logistics, Scandinavian routes, and 3-axle trucks can be a strong advantage.

The role may be a good fit for different profiles. You could be an experienced business development professional with existing contacts in the transport or logistics sector. You could also be a younger, ambitious specialist who already understands the market, has relevant experience, and is ready to grow together with the company.

The key is practical market understanding, initiative, and the ability to build trust with clients and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach potential clients in Norway and other Scandinavian markets.
  • Build and develop relationships with direct clients, producers, farms, planners, coordinators, and other relevant decision-makers.
  • Help the company move from working mainly through intermediaries toward direct client relationships.
  • Explore opportunities in specialized transport segments, especially refrigerated and fish logistics.
  • Understand client needs and work together with the company’s management to propose suitable transport solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential clients and commercial opportunities.
  • Represent the company in a professional and credible way in conversations with potential clients and partners.
  • Work directly with the company’s management and contribute to the development of the commercial strategy.
  • Take ownership of business development projects from first contact to long-term cooperation.

Requirements

  • Experience in transport, logistics, freight forwarding, or a related sector.
  • Understanding of the Scandinavian transport market or previous experience working with Scandinavian routes.
  • Strong advantage if you have experience with the Norwegian market, fish logistics, refrigerated cargo, or other time-sensitive transport segments.
  • Ability to identify relevant contacts, initiate conversations, and build long-term business relationships.
  • Commercial mindset and a proactive approach to business development.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Independence, ownership, and willingness to work in a growing, hands-on business environment.
  • Ability to work from Vilnius.

Nice to have:

  • Existing contacts in the Norwegian or wider Scandinavian transport market.
  • Experience working with direct clients in logistics or transport.
  • Norwegian language skills.
  • Background in transport coordination, planning, forwarding, or key account management with a desire to move into a broader commercial role.

What we offer

  • An opportunity to join a growing transport company entering a new stage of commercial development.
  • A role with real impact, where you can help shape the company’s direct client strategy in Scandinavia.
  • Direct cooperation with the company’s management and fast decision-making.
  • A niche and interesting market where relationships, practical understanding, and initiative matter.
  • Flexibility regarding the seniority of the role - we are open to both experienced professionals and ambitious specialists with the right market understanding.
  • Competitive compensation, discussed individually based on your experience, network, and potential impact.
  • Opportunity to grow together with the company and take on broader responsibilities over time.
  • Office location in Vilnius.
