About the company
Biomatter designs enzymes that never existed in nature - proteins that were, until recently, impossible to create. They're already at work in health, food, agriculture, and sustainable manufacturing: companies like BASF, Thermo Fisher, and Kirin build their products on enzymes we designed.
Behind this is our platform, which combines state-of-the-art AI with our own wet laboratory. Algorithms design new proteins, the lab builds and tests them, and every experiment makes the next design better. That's why our team spans software engineers, AI researchers, scientists at the bench, and commercial professionals working with some of the world's largest companies.
About the role
We are looking for an Enterprise Account Executive to own complex, high-value sales opportunities with large international companies.
This is not transactional or catalogue-based sales. You will work through long, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders across R&D, procurement, finance, legal, and senior leadership.
Your role will be to understand how decisions are made inside each organisation, map the right stakeholders, build strong relationships across multiple levels, uncover commercial opportunities, and keep complex sales processes moving towards a deal.
You do not need to be an enzyme expert. Biomatter's scientific team will support you with technical scoping and join customer discussions whenever deeper scientific expertise is needed. What matters most is your experience in enterprise sales and your ability to navigate complex organisations, build trust, and close relationship-driven deals.
Responsibilities
-
Own complex enterprise opportunities from initial engagement through negotiation and closing.
-
Map customer organisations, identify key decision-makers and influencers, and build relationships across multiple levels.
-
Develop account strategies and create new opportunities within target organisations and existing customers.
-
Understand customer business needs and translate them into commercially viable opportunities for Biomatter.
-
Lead customer meetings, presentations, and commercial discussions.
-
Coordinate internal scientific and technical expertise throughout the sales process.
-
Manage sales processes involving procurement, finance, legal, and IP stakeholders.
-
Maintain an accurate pipeline, next steps, and forecasts in the CRM.
Requirements
-
Proven enterprise sales experience, ideally with complex, consultative B2B solutions.
-
Experience managing long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and internal approval processes.
-
Strong ability to map organisations and build relationships beyond a single point of contact.
-
Confidence engaging both technical stakeholders and senior executives.
-
Strong commercial judgement, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
-
A proactive approach to developing and progressing opportunities.
-
Ability to coordinate internal experts and manage multiple moving parts across complex deals.
-
Willingness to travel internationally and meet customers face-to-face.
-
Experience in biotech or life sciences is an advantage, but not required. Experience in custom software development, engineering, scientific equipment, R&D services, advanced manufacturing, or other complex B2B environments can also be relevant.
-
Based in Lithuania or able to spend meaningful time working with the team in Vilnius.
What we offer
-
The opportunity to sell genuinely novel technology to some of the world's largest companies.
-
Complex enterprise opportunities of more than €100K in contract value.
-
Direct support from Biomatter's scientists and technical specialists throughout the sales process.
-
Significant autonomy in how you develop accounts and progress opportunities.
-
Competitive base salary depending on experience, with performance-based variable compensation.
-
Opportunity to participate in Biomatter's employee stock option programme.
