FL Technics - International Sales Manager (Wheels & Brakes MRO)

About the company

FL Technics Wheels & Brakes provides aircraft wheel and brake maintenance solutions to airlines and aviation operators internationally.

The business is moving beyond traditional component maintenance towards becoming a long-term global partner for airlines, combining technical expertise with flexible service models tailored to individual customer requirements. Rather than focusing on transactional component sales, the company aims to build long-term commercial partnerships with airlines and support them across their wheel and brake maintenance needs.

FL Technics Wheels & Brakes currently operates from three locations in Europe and has ambitious plans to significantly expand its international footprint over the coming years, with further growth across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

About the role

We are looking for an International Sales Manager to help expand FL Technics Wheels & Brakes' customer portfolio and strengthen relationships with existing airline clients.

This is a relationship-driven, consultative sales role rather than transactional component trading. You will develop new business with airlines, manage strategic commercial relationships and work closely with customers to understand their operational requirements and identify opportunities for long-term cooperation.

You will join the business at an important stage of international expansion. There is an existing customer base, active leads and established commercial activity to build on, while still leaving significant room for you to develop new markets and shape how the company approaches international sales.

The role is best suited to someone who enjoys complex B2B sales, building relationships in person and operating in an environment where not everything comes with an existing playbook.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and acquire new airline clients, expanding the company’s international customer network and market presence.

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers, acting as a key commercial point of contact.

  • Develop sales plans supporting revenue growth, market expansion and upselling opportunities within existing accounts.

  • Manage the full commercial cycle, from prospecting and initial discussions through proposal development, negotiation and contract closure.

  • Lead commercial and contract negotiations with prospective and existing clients.

  • Regularly meet customers in person to strengthen relationships, gather feedback and identify opportunities to improve or expand cooperation.

  • Work closely with Key Account Management, Operations, Engineering, Planning, Purchasing and other internal teams to ensure strong customer delivery.

  • Monitor commercial performance, maintain business plans and prepare reports and actionable insights for management.

  • Analyse relevant aviation markets, customer trends, competitors and commercial opportunities to support strategic decision-making.

  • Represent FL Technics at industry conferences, MRO events, trade shows and networking opportunities.

  • Contribute to the continued development of the company’s international commercial strategy as the Wheels & Brakes business expands into new markets and locations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in international B2B sales, business development, key account management or a comparable commercial role.

  • Experience selling complex, technical or high-value products or services with longer sales cycles.

  • Aviation experience, particularly within MRO, aircraft component maintenance, repairs and overhaul, is a strong advantage but not mandatory.

  • Experience working with international customers across EMEA; exposure to the Middle East or Gulf region would be particularly valuable.

  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to establish credibility with senior customer stakeholders.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication and persuasion skills.

  • Commercial mindset with the ability to analyse markets, identify opportunities and turn them into structured sales plans.

  • Proactive and ownership-driven approach - comfortable creating opportunities rather than waiting for inbound demand.

  • Ability to operate independently and manage customer relationships without constant supervision.

  • Willingness to travel regularly and meet customers in person.

  • Excellent business English; Arabic would be an advantage.

  • Experience in aviation component trading or key account management would be beneficial.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is curious, commercially ambitious and comfortable entering a specialist market where relationships, persistence and the ability to find solutions for individual customers matter more than following a predefined sales textbook.

What we offer

  • Opportunity to join an established aviation business during a significant international growth phase.

  • A role with genuine ownership over customer relationships, new business development and market expansion.

  • Existing customers, leads and commercial activity to build upon rather than starting entirely from scratch.

  • Direct exposure to international airlines and aviation decision-makers.

  • Opportunity to help shape the commercial approach of a growing Wheels & Brakes business.

  • International travel, including approximately 2-3 business trips per month as well as industry events and customer meetings.

  • Hybrid working model, currently based around three days on-site and two days remotely, with flexibility depending on business needs.

  • Up to one month of workation from anywhere in the world.

  • Performance-based incentive structure alongside the fixed salary.

  • Flexibility in compensation depending on the experience and value the successful candidate can bring to the business.

The preferred base for the role is Vilnius, particularly during the onboarding period, where the wider commercial, engineering, planning, purchasing, key account and finance teams are located. Candidates based elsewhere in Europe may also be considered, with regular presence in Lithuania expected during the initial learning period.
