Now, we’re looking for a proactive Sales Development Representative (SDR) to strengthen our outbound sales engine and build pipeline for our Account Executives.
The Role
As an SDR at Copla, you’ll be at the frontlines of our growth engine, identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospects across Europe. You’ll be working closely with our top-performing Account Executive and Founders to ensure our sales pipeline is filled with high-quality opportunities.
This is not a “script-reading” role, success requires genuine curiosity about compliance and security, strong business acumen, and the confidence to drive conversations with C-level executives in fintech and regulated industries.
Key Responsibilities
• Outbound prospecting: research, identify, and reach out to decision-makers (CEOs, CTOs, CISOs, Compliance Officers) in fintech and financial services.
• Cold calling & outreach: execute structured outreach campaigns via phone, LinkedIn, and email to secure discovery calls and demos.
• Qualification: lead high-quality conversations to understand prospect needs, budgets, and timelines, qualifying them against our ICP.
• Product fluency: develop a strong understanding of Copla's platform, compliance frameworks, and industry pain points to hold meaningful discussions with prospects.
• Collaboration: work closely with the Account Executives to hand over qualified leads, refine messaging, and optimize sales playbooks.
• Pipeline management: track activities, progress, and results in the sales tech stack, ensuring consistent reporting and accountability.
What We’re Looking For
• SDR/BDR experience: 1-3 years in outbound SDR/BDR roles, ideally in cybersecurity, compliance, fintech, or B2B SaaS.
• Industry awareness: understanding of security, compliance, or financial technology products (e.g., core banking, AML/KYC, regtech, GRC, SOC 2/DORA/NIS2 solutions).
• Outbound mindset: comfortable with cold outreach, high-volume activity, and rejection resilience - thrives in proactive, hunter-style roles.
• HubSpot proficiency: hands-on experience with sequences, lists, workflows, reporting/dashboards, and CRM hygiene best practices.
• English fluency: excellent spoken and written English is essential (C-level communication required).
• German fluency, spoken and written at a C1 level.
• Resilience & drive: proactive, curious, and unafraid to learn new product details or dive into compliance/security topics.
