About the Role
We are looking for a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead the expansion of Planet Superfood into American retail shelves. This role will focus on developing retail partnerships, securing new shelf placements, and growing brand presence in the USA.
Additionally, we expect the candidate to develop expertise in bulk ingredient sales and, over time, expand into selling directly to retail chains, whether through brokers or distributors. Successful performance in this role may lead to an opportunity to take full ownership of North American sales in stages.
Key Responsibilities

Retail Sales – Planet Superfood Expansion (Primary Focus):

Sell Planet Superfood products into national and regional retailers, independent grocers, and natural food stores across the USA.

Develop relationships with retail buyers and negotiate shelf placements, promotional strategies, and distribution deals.

Work closely with brokers and distributors (UNFI, KeHE, Green Spoon) to drive sales and ensure smooth product rollout.

Attend trade shows and industry events to connect with potential retail partners and strengthen brand visibility.

Analyze sales data, retail trends, and competitive insights to refine the go-to-market strategy.

Bulk & Private Label Sales (Secondary Focus):

Manage and grow bulk ingredient sales by working with food manufacturers and distributors.

Identify private label opportunities and secure long-term supply agreements with retailers and food brands.

Leverage Allive’s manufacturing capabilities to offer competitive pricing and high-quality product solutions.
What We’re Looking For

Proven track record in retail sales, brand expansion, and FMCG sales.

Strong network of retail buyers and experience working with grocery chains, independent retailers, and distributors.

Ability to negotiate shelf space and promotions to drive brand success.

Experience in bulk ingredient or private label sales is a plus.

Strong analytical and organizational skills – must be comfortable using Excel, sales data, and reporting tools.

A self-motivated go-getter who can work independently while managing multiple accounts.
