(Remote - United States or Eastern Europe / Europe, aligned to European time; frequent travel to the U.S. / China required)
Why Jump on the Hansø Home Rocket Now
- Explosive trajectory. Launched in 2022, we’ve doubled revenue every year - on pace for mid-8-figure sales by 2026 and nine figures right behind that.
- Category takeover. In just three U.S. summers we outsold every other pergola kit on DTC channels and became the #1 choice of contractors, DIY pros, and design-savvy homeowners.
- Ops is the growth lever. Better in-stock, fewer damages, tighter ETAs, lower freight cost/order = more profitable scale.
- High-leverage seat. You’ll own the end-to-end system that protects margin, reviews, and growth velocity.
- Build fast, no bureaucracy. Operator-first culture: identify bottlenecks, install mechanisms, move KPIs.
About the Role - Mission Control (What You Own + How You Operate)
As Head/VP of Supply Chain & Logistics, you own the end-to-end outcome from forecasting and procurement through China→U.S. inbound and final-mile delivery performance. We will have a U.S.-based Warehouse Manager; you set standards, run the cadence, and drive cross-functional accountability so the CEO isn’t the glue.
Core Ownership (End-to-End Outcome)
- Forecasting + Inventory Policy. Own reorder points/safety stock, lead-time governance, MOQ strategy, and “at-risk stockout” visibility as SKUs expand.
- Procurement + Supplier Performance + PO Cadence. Own ordering rhythm, supplier scorecards (OTIF, defects, lead times), escalations, and cost-down initiatives.
- China → U.S. Inbound Freight / Import. Manage forwarders, brokers, routing, documentation discipline, inbound ETA accuracy, and prevention of demurrage/detention through process.
- Carrier Strategy + Last-Mile Delivery Performance. Own carrier mix and routing guide; run appointment delivery, exceptions, reattempt logic, and service levels that match the customer promise.
- Anti-Damage Shipping & Packaging. Build packaging standards at the source, handling SOPs in the warehouse, and carrier requirements that materially reduce damage rates.
- Claims + Returns Economics + Recovery Speed. Build a claims machine that maximizes recovery and reduces cycle time; define return/disposition policy and replacement velocity.
- Launch Readiness for New Oversized SKUs. Packaging spec, storage plan, handling SOPs, carrier fit, parts kits, delivery promise rules.
- Parts Service Management. Version control, BOM discipline, compatibility rules, substitutions, and spare-parts availability to reduce tickets and speed resolutions.
- Weekly Scorecard + Accountability. Run the cadence across Supply, Warehouse, CX, Finance, and Product; issues get owners, deadlines, closure.
- Negotiation (Suppliers + Service Providers). Negotiate price, terms, lead times, MOQs, credits/chargebacks, carrier contracts, and SLAs.
- P&L Responsibility. Own supply chain economics: landed cost by SKU, freight cost per delivered order, damage/returns cost, inventory health, and contribution margin impact.
You’re a Perfect Fit If You Have:
- 15+ years in supply chain/logistics with end-to-end ownership.
- Deep experience with big-ticket / bulky products (LTL, final-mile appointment delivery).
- Proven track record reducing damage rate through packaging engineering + handling SOPs + carrier strategy.
- U.S. operating exposure (4+ years) and strong understanding of U.S. delivery expectations and business culture.
- Hard-won experience with Chinese manufacturers (quality, lead times, MOQs, negotiations, and “what can go wrong”).
- Strong command of China → U.S. inbound operations (forwarders, brokers, routing, drayage if relevant, documentation discipline, inbound tracking, demurrage prevention).
- Parts service systems experience: BOM discipline, version control, compatibility rules, substitutions, service kits, and spare parts availability.
- Experience managing and recruiting remotely across time zones.
- Very strong in modeling and Excel/Sheets: reorder logic, landed cost models, freight economics, performance dashboards, scenario planning.
- Elite negotiator with suppliers and service providers. You’ve negotiated pricing, MOQs, payment terms, lead times, QC/defect credits, chargebacks, and performance SLAs with Chinese factories - plus carrier/forwarder/broker/warehouse contracts - and can show quantified wins (e.g., cost down, lead time down, OTIF up, claims recovery up).
- Able to travel to the U.S. / China regularly, for on-site audits, carrier/warehouse alignment, and launch readiness.
What’s In It For You
- Fast-scaling rocketship. A startup already at meaningful scale, expanding product lines and pushing hard into the U.S. market with a huge runway ahead.
- High-ownership, low-politics, no-micromanagement role. You own the outcome end-to-end and build a disciplined, repeatable machine (not endless meetings).
- Your experience will actually matter. Real space to bring your judgment, install mechanisms, and shape how supply chain runs at scale.
- Innovative, driven, A-player culture. High standards, fast decisions, strong operators, and a focus on execution + accountability.
- Strong bonus upside. Performance-based rewards tied to clear operational KPIs & OKRs (on-time delivery, damage rate, inventory health, claims recovery).
- Equity participation. You’ll share in the upside you help create by building a core engine of the company.
- Time off that respects operators. Generous PTO.
- Offsites. 1-2 team offsites per year to align, build, and recharge.
