About the role
Chargemont is looking for an Account Manager to take ownership of client relationships after the commercial handover from the founder.
This role is focused on onboarding, day-to-day client communication, retention, and account growth rather than new business development. The founder will continue leading sales and pipeline generation, while this person will become the main point of contact for clients once the partnership begins.
It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, ensuring a smooth customer experience, and identifying opportunities for upsell and cross-sell within existing accounts.
Responsibilities

Own client relationships after the deal is closed

Lead onboarding for new clients and ensure a smooth transition into delivery

Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day client communication

Run regular client check-ins, including monthly and quarterly reviews

Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients

Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and engagement

Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts

Monitor account health and proactively address client needs

Coordinate internally with operations and product/development stakeholders when needed

Help bring more structure to the account management function as the company scales

Potentially grow into a broader role with ownership over the account management function in the future
Requirements

Previous experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or a similar client-facing role

Experience working with e-commerce clients

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Confidence in leading client conversations independently

Commercial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities within existing accounts

Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment

Strong sense of ownership and ability to work autonomously

Fluent English
Would be considered a strong advantage

Experience working with Shopify clients or within the Shopify ecosystem

Experience in SaaS, fintech, payments, or other tech-enabled service environments

Experience working with international clients

Exposure to retention, account growth, or revenue-based KPIs

Experience building or improving client management processes in a scaling company

Familiarity with chargebacks, payment operations, or e-commerce infrastructure
